Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Operating Room Charge Nurse to lead our surgical team. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate daily OR activities, oversee patient care standards, and ensure seamless operations across all surgical procedures. Your leadership will foster a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment, supporting our mission to deliver outstanding surgical services. Pay is $43-$45.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the OR nursing team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
  • Coordinate surgical schedules, ensuring optimal utilization of operating rooms and resources
  • Oversee patient assessments pre- and post-operation, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to protocols
  • Maintain compliance with infection control standards and sterile techniques in accordance with aseptic practices
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff to facilitate smooth surgical workflows
  • Ensure accurate medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Cerner or Epic.
Qualifications
  • Valid nursing license with current registration in the relevant state or country
  • Extensive OR experience with demonstrated proficiency in surgical procedures and perioperative care
  • Supervising or nurse management experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as HST, Cerner, or Athenahealth for documentation purposes
  • Critical care experience preferred.
  • Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team effectively while maintaining high standards of patient care.
