Position: Occupational Therapist School Setting in Orange Park, FL
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by bringing your expertise in school-based occupational therapy to a collaborative educational setting. This full-time contract opportunity provides the chance to support young learners across multiple school sites on the north and west sides of Jacksonville, FL, for the  academic year. Beginning August 10, you'll play a vital role in helping students reach their full potential through innovative therapeutic interventions and partnership with dedicated education teams.

Qualifications:
  • Active Florida Department of Health OT license required
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy
  • Ability to work itinerantly across various school locations within an assigned region
  • Completion of fingerprints through AHCA Clearinghouse is required; if completed previously, verification may be needed
  • Familiarity with pediatric or school caseloads strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Available for interviews on May 14 or 15 (confirm your availability promptly)
Role Expectations:
  • Deliver comprehensive OT services to K-12 students, supporting their participation and success in the classroom
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized therapeutic interventions based on students' unique needs
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, special education teams, and families
  • Travel between assigned schools in your region as needed
  • Maintain detailed session notes and contribute to IEP meetings when required
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and district-supported trainings
This contract supplies a steady schedule of 35 hours per week, providing opportunities to make meaningful connections across a supportive school community. Start your assignment in August and see the difference you can make by the end of the school year in May.
