• Rounding with unit leaders to ensure voice is heard on patient care and workflow improvement.
• On‑call required during select non‑business hours.

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about the procedure and peri‑operative process.
• Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy, pre‑operative medications, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification, briefing, time‑out, debriefing, and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care while managing evidence‑based practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work as part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team of providers, surgeons, and surgical technologists.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to deliver safe nursing care independently.
• Assess patient condition, monitor throughout your shift, and document changes and care provided thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families/caregivers about medical condition, treatment and follow‑up measures.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing or higher from an accredited school.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in your state or active Compact/Multi‑State RN license.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
• Previous OR nursing experience required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
