Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) with a strong background in orthopedic joint replacement, specifically hip and knee arthroplasty. The RNFA will provide advanced intraoperative surgical assistance and perioperative patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preoperative
    • Review patient records and imaging
    • Ensure readiness of equipment and implants
    • Assist with positioning and sterile prep
  • Intraoperative
    • Assist in Total Knee and Hip Arthroplasty
    • Provide retraction, suction, and exposure
    • Perform tissue handling, hemostasis, and closure
    • Support robotic‑assisted systems
  • Postoperative
    • Apply dressings and assist with recovery
    • Monitor and document patient status
Qualifications
  • Active RN license
  • Completion of RNFA program
  • CNOR preferred; CRNFA preferred
  • 2–3 years orthopedic OR experience
  • BLS and ACLS required
Skills
  • Knowledge of joint anatomy and procedures
  • Experience with implant systems
  • Strong teamwork and surgical skills
