Overview

$15.00 to $18.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

We are currently looking for the right full-time retail sales associate to join our team. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and working with a wide variety of merchandise including tools, electronics, jewelry, and in some locations firearms (in FFL locations).

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and to assist with customer inquiries and problem resolution.

The role involves working with jewelry and general merchandise including tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations).

The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. The actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform open/close procedures and maintain the sales floor.
• Process sales and loan transactions according to policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items following policies.
• Answer incoming calls and assist customers with inquiries.
• Explain legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers and contribute to a positive customer experience.
• Complete training and perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds; able to stand, walk, and perform tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (where applicable).
• Must be 18 years or older;
  High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers and work as a team.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and perform basic math.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Willingness to work at multiple locations and on a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and office equipment.
