Job Overview

The Inventory Coordinator accepts donations at the Attic Store, picks up large donations with company vehicles, and provides tax receipts to donors. They maintain a well‑organized donation intake area, sort and categorize items for efficient processing, and move furniture and large household items to the holding area or sales floor as needed. The Coordinator also assists with stock rotation, stocking the sales floor, maintaining a clean and safe store environment, and ensures company vehicles remain clean and report any maintenance issues via the Vehicle Inspection Report.

They report directly to the Store Manager and work under the direction of the Warehouse Coordinator.

Responsibilities
  • Accept donations from donor customers and provide tax receipts in an efficient, prompt, and courteous manner.
  • Maintain company vehicles in a clean condition inside and out, reporting maintenance issues to the Warehouse Coordinator.
  • Inspect, clean, and perform minor repairs (≤5 minutes) to items before transporting them to the sales floor or processing area.
  • Keep the donation intake area organized, safe, and properly stocked.
  • Refuse items that do not meet standards per the "Do Not Accept List" tactfully and courteously.
  • Inquire about the condition of large household items such as electronics and appliances, and label them appropriately.
  • Move or direct large household items and furniture to the sales floor to eliminate backlogs.
  • Bags excess clothing donations and transports them to the appropriate holding area to eliminate backlogs.
  • Apply critical thinking for continuous service improvement and make recommendations to Attic management.
  • Demonstrate initiative, planning, and organization skills; prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Use knowledge, experience, and other resources to make logical decisions and solve problems.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Previous work experience in a warehouse environment or thrift/consignment store experience.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Self‑starter with strong organizational skills.
  • Travel up to 25-75%.
