Assists the Store Manager in daily operations and sales results, ensuring excellent customer and donor service. Manages donated goods processing, oversees staff training, and performs opening and closing duties in the Store Manager’s absence.
Minimum Qualifications- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years prior retail management experience preferred.
- Equivalent work experience or a 2‑year or 4‑year degree preferred.

- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Advanced customer service skills.
- Ability to promote and maintain workplace safety.
- Ability to handle customer/donor/employee relations in the absence of a Store Manager.

- Foster teamwork, coach, train, develop management staff, and oversee training of store personnel.
- Delegate daily and weekly scheduling of staff.
- Address employee issues, provide performance feedback, conduct formal evaluations, and counsel employees.
- Administer disciplinary actions with the Area Manager and Human Resources.
- Oversee overall store operation, including daily and weekly sales, donations, and financial results.
- Maintain revenue goals, budgeted expenses, and profitability through sales, inventory, and labor control.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and proper accounting of store revenue.
- Organize store operations for effective customer service and profitability.
- Maintain store appearance and ensure compliance with policies, safety, and company procedures.
- Train staff on safety protocols and promote a safe, productive environment.
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are communicated and adhered to consistently.
- Maintain strong customer/donor relations with high standards of service.
- Complete administrative duties such as communicating transportation needs, opening/closing store, reporting facilities issues, and making daily deposits.

Back of Store Duties- Maintain a well‑organized and clean production area.
- Facilitate loading and unloading of merchandise from company trucks.
- Train employees on processing, sorting, hanging, and organizing donated goods.
- Greet donors, receive merchandise, and provide itemized receipts if requested.
- Remove donations from donor’s vehicle as needed.
- Break down donations into appropriate bins of similar merchandise.
- Examine non‑clothing items for sales floor suitability per standards.
- Place sellable clothing on hangers, meet quotas, and arrange by type and color.
- Count and record hung clothing pieces.
- Ensure production counts are achieved.
- Place unsellable clothing in appropriate bins.

Front of Store Duties- Train employees on register procedures and floor layout.
- Process customer transactions, handle payment, make change, bag merchandise, and thank customers.
- Assist customers with shopping needs.
- Move clothing from the back production room to the sales floor and arrange on sales floor racks.
- Keep the sales floor clean, neat, and properly displayed.
- Rearrange clothing on racks, dust, and pull items when racks are full.
- Report security or theft problems to the Area Manager or higher management as required.
