Job Title

Auto Body Technician

Job Summary

Primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional customer experience through meticulous assessment and quality repair of each vehicle, restoring it to pre‑accident condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
  • Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
  • Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
  • Hammer out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage; mix and apply filler resins when needed.
  • Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
  • Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts.
  • Replace or repair glass and windshields as needed.
  • Replace or repair interior parts as needed.
  • Weld and attach or fit parts into place.
  • Prepare and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or agreed equivalent.
  • Attempt to complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
  • Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure all work was executed correctly.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3‑year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
Required

Skills and Abilities
  • Read job orders and work with very little supervision.
  • Work collaboratively with other repairers.
  • Understand methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
  • Know how to use trade tools.
Other Requirements
  • Work safely in noisy, odorous environments.
  • Lifting up to 30 pounds at times.
  • Visual inspection of vehicle damage in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat for repairs and inspections.
Physical Demands

Job requires meeting specified physical demands for successful performance.

Compensation

$21.00–$29.00 per hour. Flat‑rate compensation tied to booked hours. Bonus opportunities may be available.
