Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the monthly accounting close process including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
- Review gross potential rent and security deposit calculations and resolve discrepancies
- Reconcile property-related revenues, A/R ledgers, and fixed asset schedules
- Prepare financial statements, loan packages, and JV financial reports in accordance with requirements
- Collaborate with site teams to resolve ledger issues and respond to property management requests
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of GAAP and real estate accounting principles
- Apply strong attention to detail and organizational skills in managing priorities
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Adapt to changing tasks and contribute to special accounting projects as needed
- Maintain responsiveness and customer orientation in a deadline-driven environment
- Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration (preferred)
- Accumulate at least three years of residential real estate accounting experience
- Show proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with Yardi (preferred)
- Understand internal control concepts and financial reporting standards
- Exhibit flexibility, self-motivation, and a desire for continuous learning
