Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the general ledger and accounts payable activity and ensure all account records are accurate and reconciled.
- Lead the month end close process by preparing journal entries and reviewing balance sheet accounts for timely reporting.
- Work with teams across the organization to gather financial information and assist with monthly reporting and analysis.
- Review significant variances and provide clear explanations and insights to senior leadership.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules work papers and detailed account reconciliations.
- 6+ years of accounting experience with one to two years in a lead or supervisory role.
- A Bachelor degree in accounting finance or a related field.
- Use enterprise systems with confidence including programs such as Oracle or Net Suite along with advanced Excel and Power BI.
- Understand concepts related to inventory cost management and cycle counts.
- Communicate clearly and manage multiple tasks while supporting accurate financial reporting.
- Mentor junior team members and guide daily transactional activity when needed.
- Maintain strong attention to detail and use sound judgment when reviewing financial information.
- Assist with daily cash activity including bank reviews and accounting for related transactions.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and strengthen data quality.
- Support special projects and financial analysis as assigned while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.
