Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Certified Payroll Specialist to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $35.00 to $38.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Collect and review employee timesheets and coordinate job costing processes accurately.
  • Process payroll and enter data into DIR, LCP Tracker, and OCPS online payroll systems.
  • Prepare and cut payroll checks while ensuring compliance with union and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct monthly union compliance reporting for LU11, 441, and Laborers.
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable, including timely collections and payments to minimize outstanding debt.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Quick Books Online and basic understanding of Fountain program.
  • Apply strong organizational skills to manage payroll, union reporting, and accounting tasks effectively.
  • Communicate clearly with vendors, employees, and management to resolve issues promptly.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to address technical issues and coordinate with support teams for resolution.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in payroll processing and financial reporting for CPA review.
Qualifications:
  • An Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; college education preferred.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in payroll and accounting within the construction industry.
  • Show familiarity with DIR, LCP Tracker, and OCPS online payroll systems for certified payroll compliance.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records under deadlines.
  • Display excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player in a dynamic environment.
