Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries accurately and complete month-end close duties on time.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare quarterly and annual statutory financial statements and regulatory filings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accuracy of general ledger balances and transactions.
- Support internal and external audit requests and assist with year-end audit preparation.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of GAAP and statutory accounting principles.
- Utilize ERP systems such as Oracle and Hyperion for reporting and analysis.
- Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis.
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal formats across multiple departments.
- Adapt to a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple priorities.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA license is a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in financial reporting.
- Show experience working with audits and preparing lead schedules and documentation.
- Display strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain a proactive and detail-oriented approach with the ability to recommend process improvements.
