Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $68,000 to $72,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:

Add all payables to the accounting system, code them accurately, route for approvals, and prepare for weekly check runs
Process special payment requests within specified timelines
Assist with bank account management, including ACH recording, check deposits, and Positive Pay uploads
Maintain vendor files, including setup, W-9 collection, payment records, and inquiry responses
Support 1099 preparation, reporting, and compliance activities

Requirements:

Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills across various settings and audiences
Show proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, and adapt quickly to new technologies
Deliver excellent customer service and build trust with internal and external stakeholders
Work independently and collaboratively while maintaining professionalism and accountability
Manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or possess equivalent experience
Bring experience in real estate or multiple-entity accounting (preferred but not required)
Demonstrate familiarity with Yardi accounting software (preferred)
Commit to accuracy and detail, consistently double-checking work
Embrace change with a proactive mindset and a willingness to improve processes
