Job Responsibilities:
- Applies strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Manages competing priorities and meets tight deadlines in a team-oriented environment
- Utilizes financial reporting platforms such as Toppan Merrill Bridge, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Exercises independent judgment on matters of significance and adheres to hybrid work policies
- Collaborates with the Sr. Director to manage all aspects of external financial reporting, including EPS, balance sheet, income statement, cash flows, and equity statements
- Prepares technical accounting memos to support management decisions and audit requirements
- Assists in researching and documenting the accounting impact of complex and non-standard transactions
- Ensures compliance with SOX by supporting the accounting team in completing monthly control activities
- Performs journal entries related to stock compensation, revenue recognition, and loyalty programs
- A BA/BS degree in accounting or a related field
- 4+ years of public accounting experience, preferably in retail, hospitality, or Big 4 firms
- Maintains an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and internal control principles
- Understands Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and internal control frameworks
