Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $90,000 to $110,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review construction draw processes, monitor project funding, and ensure contract compliance.
- Generate billing for construction projects and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain billing and cost ledgers and enter contracts and change orders into the accounting system.
- Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, payroll, and timesheets.
- Complete month-end close activities and assist with audits of construction projects.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and collaborate effectively with project managers and stakeholders.
- Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure adherence to company standards.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Apply strong analytical and organizational skills to financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Use Excel proficiently to support reporting and analysis tasks.
- Hold an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA candidate preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in construction accounting.
- Understand GAAP and construction-related financial processes.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Collaborate as an effective team player in a dynamic work environment.
