Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $70,000 to $75,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Review expense reports and invoices for proper approval and accuracy before processing.
  • Maintain organized accounts payable files ensure coding is correct and verify data posted to the general ledger.
  • Monitor vendor statements compare them to outstanding invoices and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Serve as a point of contact for billing questions and communicate with vendors to clarify issues promptly.
  • Process daily invoices meet required deadlines and support improvements to accounts payable procedures.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of full cycle accounts payable experience with strong understanding of the entire process.
  • Use Excel at an intermediate level including lookup functions and pivot tables.
  • Communicate clearly with vendors and internal teams and demonstrate strong negotiation and follow through skills.
  • Manage time effectively work with accuracy and handle multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment.
  • Show reliability dependability and the ability to learn instructions quickly under leadership direction.
Qualifications:
  • Hold an associate or bachelor degree in accounting finance business or a related field preferred.
  • Possess strong data entry ability experience with accounts payable systems and comfort adapting to different processes.
  • Bring attention to detail persistence in completing tasks and willingness to prevent errors and identify improvements.
  • Work independently or as part of a team and adjust to shifting needs and ideas from others.
  • Use Microsoft Office confidently with preference for experience in SAP and knowledge of payment related forms.
