Job Responsibilities:
- Support month end close activities by preparing journal entries researching variances and resolving data discrepancies.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations ensuring balances align with expected results and investigating reconciling items.
- Prepare quarterly and annual statutory financial statements along with assigned regulatory filings.
- Partner with cross functional teams to understand business activity improve general ledger accuracy and strengthen reporting processes.
- Support internal and external audits identify process improvements and complete ad hoc projects as assigned.
- A Bachelors degree in accounting finance or an equivalent field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong general ledger focus.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Communicate clearly work independently and collaborate effectively across departments.
- Manage multiple priorities meet tight deadlines and adapt in a fast paced environment.
- Use enterprise resource planning systems and reporting tools with experience in modern platforms considered beneficial.
- Perform detailed analysis with strong attention to accuracy organization and documentation.
- Maintain professionalism while responding to audit requests and regulatory inquiries.
- Demonstrate a proactive self starter mindset curiosity and willingness to ask questions.
- Bring professional certification industry experience or large company background considered a plus.
