Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Staff Payroll Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $33.00 to $40.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Calculate and record employee bonuses and commissions and ensure accurate accruals in financial records.
- Reconcile payroll activity and benefits accounts to the general ledger and resolve any issues.
- Maintain payroll related accruals and support accurate reporting in accordance with accounting standards.
- Partner with human resources and payroll teams to ensure alignment of processes and compliance requirements.
- Prepare reports summarizing payroll, compensation, and benefit activity for management review.
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Previous Knowledge of payroll accounting, reconciliations, and general ledger processes.
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyze data and perform calculations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Clear communication skills for working with internal teams.
- High attention to detail with strong problem solving skills.
- Previous experience working with payroll systems or accounting tools.
- Ability to reconcile complex data and identify discrepancies.
- Organized and reliable work style with consistent follow through.
- Collaborative approach with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
