Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $90,000 to $110,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:

Perform full cycle accounting by preparing journal entries completing reconciliations and supporting month end and year end close activities.
Prepare and analyze financial statements for monthly quarterly and annual reporting while supporting audit and tax requests.
Maintain and analyze cost and job accounting including standard costing inventory work in process and margin analysis.
Apply revenue recognition standards by reviewing contracts partnering with operations and ensuring accurate cutoff and allocation.
Manage operational accounting tasks including fixed assets intercompany activity foreign currency transactions and key balance sheet accounts.

Requirements:

A Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferably within manufacturing or engineering environments.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting principles including revenue recognition requirements.
Possess hands on experience with cost inventory and job accounting practices.
Use enterprise accounting systems effectively and manage work independently with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications:

Prepare detailed balance sheet reconciliations and conduct variance analysis to ensure reporting accuracy.
Support multi entity accounting structures including intercompany eliminations and currency remeasurement.
Improve close processes accounting workflows and internal controls for greater efficiency and reliability.
Maintain depreciation amortization and capital project accounts while resolving historical issues.
Bring professional certification international accounting exposure or prior process improvement experience considered beneficial.
