Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal entries account reconciliations and supporting schedules while maintaining an accurate general ledger.
- Participate in monthly quarterly and annual close activities and investigate balance sheet variances.
- Support fixed asset accounting by maintaining depreciation schedules roll forwards and related documentation.
- Assist with cost and inventory accounting including valuation analysis reserve reviews and manufacturing variance monitoring.
- Support audits internal reporting and process improvement initiatives including system enhancements.
- A Bachelor degree in accounting or finance with professional certification preferred.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of general ledger accounting and close processes.
- Possess working knowledge of inventory and cost accounting concepts.
- Use enterprise accounting systems effectively in a production oriented setting.
- Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations with strong attention to accuracy and documentation.
- Analyze inventory transactions bills of materials and routing structures to support cost reporting.
- Participate in physical inventory and cycle count activities while resolving discrepancies.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen processes controls and efficiency across accounting functions.
- Apply advanced Excel skills to analyze data create reports and support financial decision making.
