Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee GAAP compliant accounting for product costs, inventory, and warranty reserves while maintaining full SOX 404 documentation.
- Manage month end and year end close processes and ensure consolidated financial results are accurate and timely.
- Review financial statements, account reconciliations, and monthly analyses to identify trends and resolve variances.
- Drive process improvements across cost, inventory, warranty, and general accounting functions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Coordinate external audits and quarterly reviews while supporting ad hoc reporting and analysis for the CFO.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and strong leadership abilities in building, motivating, and developing accounting teams.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining a strong work ethic and high level of business acumen.
- Oversee accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and staff accountant activities.
- Utilize integrated accounting software, report writing tools, and Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency.
- Apply strong knowledge of GAAP, FASB pronouncements, and SOX compliance requirements in daily operations.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, with an MBA preferred.
- Maintain an active CPA license as a required credential.
- 10+ years of manufacturing accounting experience, including inventory control and public company general ledger management.
- Leverage experience in product based businesses with direct oversight of inventory and accounts receivable.
- Use MAS 200/500 or similar ERP systems proficiently to support accounting operations.
