Job Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly quarterly and annual close processes while reviewing journal entries reconciliations and financial statements for accuracy.
- Maintain the accounting system of record including chart of accounts fixed assets depreciation and general ledger integrity.
- Support audits compliance reporting and preparation of schedules analyses and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee financial workflows expense management and capital tracking while ensuring consistent accounting methodologies.
- Partner across departments to resolve accounting issues explain financial results and improve processes through collaboration.
- A Bachelors degree in accounting finance business administration or a related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience including a minimum of two years in a management role.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting principles practices internal controls and financial reporting.
- Use accounting systems and reporting tools confidently with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Communicate clearly manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a complex environment.
- Manage and develop accounting staff by providing coaching feedback and balanced workload oversight.
- Support implementation of new accounting standards technical research and internal control enhancements.
- Prepare and coordinate regulatory and compliance reporting for education or service based organizations.
- Assist with forecasting balance sheet analysis composite metrics and capital planning activities.
- Bring experience in regulated or complex industries with professional certification considered beneficial.
