Senior Accountant – Care Partners

Compensation: $100,000 - $110,000 / year

Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant. This role will report to the VP - Finance and Accounting and enable us to continue to scale in the healthcare industry. The Senior Accountant is responsible for applying generally accepted accounting principles in accordance with U.S. GAAP, performing procedures to analyze financial information, preparing accurate and timely financial statements for clients, and ensuring appropriate internal control policies and procedures are adhered to.

This is a hybrid role where the expectation is to work both in office and at home on a weekly basis.

What You'll Do
  • Oversee deposits of cash on time while keeping accurate accounting records
  • Keep the manager up to date on all relevant and appropriate matters as it pertains to his/her position
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and maintain complete records of these transactions
  • Reconcile bank statements and keep an accurate running total of cash on hand
  • Ensure monthly balance sheet account reconciliations are prepared timely and accurately
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and quarterly management reports in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses and ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes making certain all financial reporting deadlines are met
  • Assist in preparation and submission of quarterly and annual reports as required by Department of Managed Health Care’s agreement
  • Submit quarterly and annual financial reports to the health plans
  • Support the budget and forecast activities, including forecast preparation against actual results
  • Prepare for financial audit and coordinate the audit process including working with external auditors and health plans
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data
  • Assist with ad-hoc procedures and tasks as requested from management
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent from an accredited university
  • 3+ years progressively responsible experience in Accounting
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data, including financial statements and key ratios
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience involving extensive work with complex spreadsheets
  • Able to work with details as needed as well as understanding the big picture
  • Understanding of US GAAP and experience researching technical accounting issues
  • Highly motivated individual who can work independently

  • This position is in office with the option to be hybrid. The office is located at 600 City Parkway West 10th Floor, Orange, CA 92868.
  • The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $100,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location (current or future), experience, and other job-related factors.
