Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $40.00 to $50.00 per hour.
Job responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts during monthly and quarterly close processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with established accounting policies.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather financial data for reporting purposes.
- Assist in preparing and distributing financial statements and variance analyses.
- Support audits, budgeting activities, and special projects as assigned.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience within a similar role.
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with Solomon or FAS.
- Demonstrate expertise in general ledger management and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and resolve issues proactively.
- Prior experience with multi-unit operations and advanced problem-solving capabilities.
