A growing manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to support product costing, inventory accounting, standard costing, and financial analysis in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and update standard costs and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Support inventory valuation, WIP accounting, and month-end close.
- Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances.
- Perform cost rollups and new product costing.
- Reconcile inventory and manufacturing transactions.
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to improve cost visibility and profitability.
- Prepare cost and margin analysis to support business decisions.
- Work with ERP systems and advanced Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3-5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of standard costing, BOMs, WIP, inventory accounting, and COGS.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Consumer products, furniture, bedding, textile, or related manufacturing.
- Experience with inventory controls, cost modeling, and margin analysis.
