Responsibilities
- Lead and streamline monthly close processes for clients

- Partner with IT to integrate financial systems during acquisitions
- Provide account leadership and manage multiple client relationships
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or CA certification preferred
- 15+ years of related experience in advisory and controllership roles
- 7+ years of hands-on controllership experience, preferably in Software/SaaS or Healthcare
- Deep expertise in operational accounting and accounting standards, including US GAAP and/or IFRS
- Experience with ERP systems such as Net Suite, MS Dynamics, and automation tools
- Ability to build strong client relationships in the West Coast market

For our client, we are seeking a Managing Director - Accounting Advisory (Operational Accounting/Controller) to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space.
This leader will oversee high-impact accounting advisory engagements with a focus on operational accounting, controllership, and financial reporting quality. The role will partner closely with client leadership, finance teams, auditors, and IT stakeholders to improve close processes, strengthen compliance, and support transactions and public-company readiness. It is well-suited for a senior advisor who can lead multiple client relationships while guiding complex accounting matters across a variety of engagements.
The position will also play a key role in helping clients enhance reporting discipline, integrate systems during acquisitions, and navigate SEC-related and technical accounting requirements. This is a client-facing leadership opportunity with meaningful influence on operational efficiency, controllership effectiveness, and long-term accounting infrastructure.
Location:
Orange, CA (Hybrid) - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $281,750 – $402,500 annually
