About the OpportunityAs an Intern (Community Relations) you will support the Community Relations team in building stronger relationships across the community, collaborating with providers, partners, and stakeholders. This full‑office position is based in Orange, CA, with flexible nearby telework options.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the department manager with community engagement initiatives.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute large‑scale events, meetings, and special projects.
- Provide administrative support for events and projects.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold integrity in all communications.
- Manage multiple projects and identify opportunities for internal and external collaboration.
- Participate in meetings with supervisors to review status and progress.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university four‑year or two‑year degree program, or vocational institution, or graduate program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational and project‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Flexible schedule; available for evening and weekend events.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience in community engagement or event coordination.
- Ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Read information from computer screens and printed materials.
- Speak and listen clearly.
- Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing, reaching, walking; flexibility for bending, crouching.
- Lift 10 to 25 pounds.
Pay grade 301: $47,840 – $64,584 annually ($23.00 – $31.05 hourly).
