Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate ofthe compensation range for this position. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate’s qualifications and experience, aswell as internal equity and other internal factors.

Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

This position coordinates accommodated testing for the Disability Services department, ensuring accurate implementation of approvedADA /504 accommodations. This position will focus on coordinatingmidterm and final examinations for the Fowler School of Law and extended hours within the testing center. Responsibilities includeexam scheduling, testing room coordination, test proctoring,records management, data tracking, and maintaining test security and integrity in compliance with faculty instructions anduniversity policies.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Receive students, faculty, and other individuals at front deskof the testing center. This includes, answering phone calls,collecting drop-off paperwork, and exam materials, and monitoring the testing center e-mail correspondence.
  • Coordinate and proctor testing accommodations; this includesscheduling exams, booking testing room space, monitoring testtakers, keeping accurate records/statistical data, ensuring testsecurity and integrity, and complying with faculty instructions and approved ADA accommodation for Fowler School of Law and extended hours on Orange campus.
  • Collaborate with Fowler School of Law personnel such as the lawregistrar, IS&T, and Associate Deans to ensure updated lawschool policies and procedures with proctoring accommodatedexams
  • Serve as backup support for other Disability Services office functions as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Three years of professional support experience, with at leastone year in testing coordination, disability services, student services, or a related higher education environment.
  • Technical skills to learn and use enterprise systems required for this position.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and the ability to learn accommodation management systems (Accommodate Software).
  • Strong time management skills, with demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and perform in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact diplomatically with a diverse group of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Strong writing skills to prepare clear, concise &grammatically correct correspondence.
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to work with other departments.
  • An ethical commitment to the confidentiality of sensitive documents
  • Ability and diplomacy skills to consult with students and faculty regarding educational and security issues associated with testing
  • Working knowledge of ADA, Section 504, and Section 508regulations related to academic accommodations.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Sensitivity of working with students from diverse backgrounds and academic standing.
