Construction Manager/ Foreman, Site Manager, Procurement / Purchasing, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Skill Set Group is seeking an experienced Construction Manager based in the Orange County, CA area. This position will be on-site, hands-on project manager for various commercial/QSR construction projects throughout the Southwest US territory. The ideal candidate must have experience with all site aspects for ground-up builds within the retail/commercial industry. Extensive experience with day-to-day construction site management is also a must.
This position does require a 4-year degree in Contruction Management or related field.
This position will require 30-50% travel throughout the Southwest US region. This will also be a DIRECT HIRE role.
Must Have: 10+ years of construction management experience with strong ground-up commercial/industrial construction, preconstruction, budgeting, estimating, contractor management, and leadership experience.
Preferred Project Background: Manufacturing, production facilities, warehouses, distribution centers, food/beverage facilities, or other large operational facilities.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- 10+ years of construction management experience.
- Strong ground-up commercial/industrial construction experience.
- 5+ years of leadership, GC oversight, preconstruction, development, or owner's-representative experience.
- Strong estimating and capital-budget experience.
- Experience selecting and managing general contractors.
- Knowledge of construction contract structures including GMP, lump sum, cost-plus, design-build, and CM-at-risk.
- Experience managing multiple projects and construction teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Food/beverage, production, hygienic, GMP, or FSMA construction experience is highly valuable.
- Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD/Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera or similar construction software preferred.
