This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge,abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate’s qualifications and experience, aswell as internal equity and other internal factors.

Job Description Summary
The Senior Video Producer advances the university’s brand,reputation, and storytelling efforts through exceptional visual content creation. Working within Strategic Marketing and Communications, this position serves as an experienced individual contributor responsible for producing high-impact video content that supports enrollment, advancement, public relations, marketing,executive communications, and institutional storytelling initiatives.
The Senior Video Producer independently leads complex productions from concept through final delivery through advanced cinematography, editing, motion graphics, and visual storytelling.
This role requires strong editorial judgment, the ability to shape compelling narratives from interview-driven content, and the technical expertise to execute full-scale productions.
The position is in-person, five days a week at Chapman University’sOrange campus and reports to the Associate Creative Director.
Responsibilities Advanced Video Production and StorytellingWorks in a highly integrated, high-performing team environment tocreate high-quality video content that supports university-wide storytelling initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
- Independently produce, shoot, and edit high-quality video content that advances the University’s brand, reputation,enrollment goals, and institutional storytelling initiatives,serving audiences across all university departments.
- Lead all phases of assigned productions, including creative planning, storyline development, production logistics, filming,audio capture, lighting, editing, motion graphics, color correction, sound design, and final delivery.
- Develop narrative structures and storytelling approaches from interviews, source footage, creative briefs, and production materials.
- Create long-form and short-form stories optimized for different audiences and distribution channels, including social media,websites, digital campaigns, and presentations.
- Determine production approaches, visual treatments, interview strategies, and editorial techniques that best achieve project goals and elicit strong soundbites that are key messaging aligned.
- Independently manage complex productions from concept through delivery and maintain exceptional standards for visual quality,pacing, storytelling, technical execution, and audience engagement
Performs advanced post-production work and creative execution toensure high-quality final deliverables across multiple channels and audiences.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform advanced editing, color correction, audio mixing,motion graphics development, visual effects, and finishing forfinal delivery.
- Create visual treatments, graphics packages, title sequences,and other creative assets that enhance storytelling effectiveness.
