Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Detailer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the design and documentation process, ensuring that all project details are accurately represented and effectively communicated. This position requires proficiency in various design software and a strong understanding of architectural and engineering principles.

• Review and interpret structural engineering drawings to understand design intent.
• Create detailed plans and shop drawings using Tekla software.
• Ensure accuracy of dimensions, material specifications, and fabrication details on shop drawings.
• Coordinate with other trades to ensure proper integration of steel components.
• Review and check all shop drawings produced by the team for accuracy, compliance with codes, and consistency with design documents.
• Identify and resolve any clashes or discrepancies between drawings.
• Implement Tekla detailing standards to maintain high standards of detailing.
• Work directly and communicate with job captain to address questions, clarify design intent, and resolve issues.
• Respond to RFI's (Request for Information) from job captain.

Preferred education, experience, qualifications, and other requirements:

• High school diploma/GED and 2+ years experience in the steel industry.
• Knowledge of building codes IBC ADA Title 24.
• Knowledge of AISC standards and AWS codes.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey ideas and concepts to team members.
• Knowledge in miscellaneous metals, stair, structural and architectural detailing.
• Tekla: 1 year (Required)

• AWS: 1 year (Required)
