Pay Rate
$16.50/hr - $19.36/hr Non‑Teaching Rate and up to $29.16/hr Total Teaching Rate depending on background and experience. This is indicative of potential compensation; actual pay depends on experience, education, etc.
About the RoleAs a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student count, ensuring each student continues to grow, develop, and enjoy playing music while nurturing our culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect.

Responsibilities- Partner with store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
- Assist with customer service as needed, helping build and maintain long‑term students by creating a great experience.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Partner with all students and families through frequent communication, building trusting relationships, and embracing parent knowledge as their child's Music Teacher.
- Communicate with students and/or parents on progress of each student.
- Share students’ and/or parents’ goals and progress frequently.
- Previous experience in Music, Education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach the instrument that they are proficient in, such as Drums, Guitar, Keyboard, etc.
- Skilled ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area they will be teaching.
