- Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Sr. Low Voltage Technology Design Leader to expand our MEP practice in Orange, CA and throughout Southern California!
- Lead and execute designs for Technology systems (Telecommunication rooms, structured Cabling systems, and Pathways infrastructure);
Nurse Call, Infant Protection, Electronic Safety and Security Systems (Video Surveillance and Access Control); and Audiovisual Systems. - Develop and evaluate low voltage system Technology System concepts and options to determine best design and engineering solution for each project based upon project scope.
- Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, industry standards, and other applicable codes related to the design and layout of low voltage and telecommunications systems.
- Develop detailed design drawings, develop design narratives and CSI specifications for bidding and construction.
- Actively interface and coordinate with external clients, architects, consultants, and construction partners.
- Perform construction administration services.
- Assist team in achieving project budget and management of resources.
- Provide mentorship for other engineers and designers within the organization.
- Associates in Applied Science in Engineering Technology or similar education. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in design and consulting for low voltage and/or electrical systems.
- Candidate with RCDD certification or similar industry certification is preferred.
- Candidates with a PE license or ability to obtain a PE license will be considered a plus.
- Experience in architectural and engineering work.
- Working experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office Products.
- Ability to self-manage throughout the project and work as part of a team.
- Proven communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Active participation in industry organizations.
Base Salary Range:
- $170,000 - $220,000
- Eligible for performance-based bonus compensation
