Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Aerospace Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and manufacture of aerospace components and systems. This role plays a key part in ensuring our products meet strict performance, quality, and regulatory requirements while remaining cost-effective and manufacturable. The ideal candidate thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment and works well across engineering, quality, and production teams.
Responsibilities- Design and development:
Create detailed blueprints, models, and specifications for aerospace components and assemblies using CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, Solid Works, NX) - Analysis & Testing:
Capable of performing stress, static and dynamic simulations. Time studies and manufacturing improvement strategies. - Perform mechanical analysis including stress, fatigue, vibration, and thermal assessments
- Ensure compliance with aerospace regulations, customer specifications, and quality standards (AS9100, FAA, EASA as applicable)
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and production-ready
- Support first article inspections (FAI), nonconformance investigations, and corrective actions
- Assist with tooling, fixturing, and process development for production
- Work with suppliers on component selection, technical reviews, and qualification activities
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
- 3–7 years of experience in aerospace or high-reliability manufacturing environments (experience level flexible)
- Proficiency in 3D CAD and engineering drawing creation
- Strong understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical design principles
- Experience with structural analysis, tolerance analysis, and GD&T
- Basic understanding of Document Control, and the change order process methodology
- Familiarity with aerospace quality systems and documentation requirements
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and regulatory requirements
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Pay range: $70,000-$95,000
