As a Project Manager for Water Resilience, you will play a critical role in leading projects that make a tangible impact on communities. Our culture fosters professional growth, autonomy, and collaborative teamwork, recognized by our Great Place to Work certification.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage water resilience projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate efforts across internal teams and with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, for smooth project progression and approvals.
- Conduct technical analyses, risk assessments, and feasibility studies to guide project design choices.
- Prepare detailed project proposals, outlining scope, schedules, and budgets that align with client needs.
- Engage effectively with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and building strong relationships.
- Mentor junior staff, promoting a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the water resilience sector to support BKF’s business growth.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
- 10-12 years of relevant experience in water resources, emphasizing surface water management and resilience initiatives.
- Demonstrated project management expertise in civil engineering, with strong client relations and budget management skills.
- California PE licensure is required.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with hydrologic modeling software and engineering design tools.
- Experience preparing proposals for public sector agencies.
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams and public sector clients.
- Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
- A strong network within the water resources community.
- Commitment to sustainable and resilient design practices.
Ability to communicate effectively, operate a computer, and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
WorkConditions:
Work in a typical office environment with the potential for high-stress, fast-paced projects. Travel to other BKF locations and client sites may be necessary.
Benefits:- Competitive salary range: $123,000 - $170,000 annually, based on experience and location.
