Systems Engineer, Quality Engineering
Overview
This Direct Hire position offers up to $150k/year with no C2C, sponsorship, 1099, or visa transfer.
Location:
Orange, CA (3 days on site).
Must have field experience; HVAC industry experience is strongly preferred. Responsibilities include QA of electro-mechanical products, fluid management, pumps, and hydraulic systems. The ideal candidate will take initiative, understand quality from the customer and market perspective, and participate in the product lifecycle from design to release, including early involvement in the first 90 days of a product launch. You will perform verification testing and prototyping, and work on both product and process design.
Experience with vacuum and recovery pumps and understanding of the whole connected system are relevant, as the first project will involve a vacuum pump product.
We are seeking an engineer at heart who views quality as a lever to build better products, not just test them. This role sits at the intersection of hardware, firmware, and software, with a focus on how systems interact and where they can fail.
You should have a strong foundation in electro-mechanical systems, a hands-on mindset, and a passion for influencing design decisions with data. You should be curious, analytical, and relentless in pursuing root cause, able to partner across teams, and capable of balancing performance, reliability, and compliance at scale.
