Senior Design Lead - Component Cost Estimation, Supplier Mgmt
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the Senior Design Lead functions related to Component Cost Estimation, Supplier Collaboration and Negotiation, Supplier Development & Management. You will play a key role in driving cost estimation, collaborating with suppliers, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the success of design projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis and estimation of component costs for new product designs to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve competitive pricing and quality materials.
- Develop and implement strategies for supplier development and management to strengthen partnerships and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Manage the relationship with suppliers, addressing any issues, and ensuring timely delivery of components for design projects.
Skill Requirements
- Proficiency in component cost estimation methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Experience in supplier development & management practices to optimize supplier performance and reliability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Other Requirements
- Certification in Procurement and Supply Chain Management is a plus.
- Maximum Salary (US): 128000
- Minimum Salary (US): 83000
A candidate's pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program;
