Job Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and oversee the general ledger team to ensure accurate financial records
- Facilitate monthly closings and issue timely and accurate financial reports
- Review and ensure the accuracy of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
- Lead and support quarterly and annual audit procedures, serving as the liaison with external auditors
- Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures to support compliance and safeguard assets
- Demonstrate strong leadership by supervising, training, and evaluating accounting staff
- Communicate accounting policies and procedures clearly to ensure consistency across departments
- Provide financial analysis and generate ad hoc reports to support business decision-making
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting policies, procedures, and systems
- Lead automation efforts and manage accounting and finance IT projects to streamline operations
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred
- 7+ years of accounting experience and 2+ years in a management role
- Apply strong mathematical and analytical skills to solve complex accounting problems
- Interpret and communicate financial data effectively through written and verbal communication
- Understand and apply GAAP principles and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
