Financial Controller

Our client, a subsidiary of a large publicly traded company, is seeking a highly skilled and hands‑on Controller to lead their accounting operations and financial reporting function. This role is ideal for a professional who began their career in a large public accounting firm (Big
4) and has since built progressive experience within industry. The Controller will play a critical role in ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and scalable processes to support continued growth.

• Lead and manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and revenue recognition
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with timely and accurate financial statements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and all applicable regulatory requirements
• Design, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies
• Manage external audit, tax filings, and coordination with external advisors
• Prepare and review financial reporting packages for executive leadership
• Partner with FP&A and business leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred)
• CPA required
• Early career experience at a Big 4 or large national public accounting firm
• 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including industry leadership roles
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Experience managing audits and working with external auditors and tax providers
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with modern ERP systems
• Proven ability to operate in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment
