Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Accounting Director to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $175,000 to $190,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team by setting priorities coaching staff and managing close activities for monthly quarterly and yearly reporting.
  • Oversee daily operations across the general ledger reconciliations accounts payable accounts receivable and policy documentation while ensuring adherence to accounting standards.
  • Partner with operations financial planning and other groups to provide technical guidance and support decisions related to new initiatives and process changes.
  • Review financial results and key metrics identify trends and variances and deliver clear insights that support planning and forecasting.
  • Drive improvements by standardizing workflows strengthening internal controls and making better use of system capabilities.
Requirements:
  • Hold an active CPA and bring 8+ years of progressive accounting experience that includes leading teams.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of accounting operations close cycles reconciliations and control frameworks.
  • Communicate effectively across functions influence stakeholders and present complex topics with clarity.
  • Operate well in large fast moving or high growth settings with experience from public companies or major firms considered beneficial.
  • Maintain a process focused mindset with strong attention to accuracy scalability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Manage staffing plans delegation and review cycles while building a high performing team that can scale with the organization.
  • Provide technical accounting support for transactions system changes and operational projects while partnering closely with leadership.
  • Prepare analyses that support budgeting forecasting operational planning and reporting deliverables for senior leaders.
  • Support acquisition related activities and coordinate with external specialists on valuation and reporting matters.
  • Model strong leadership presence organization skills and hands on execution while maintaining professionalism and collaboration.
