The job classification of Court Interpreter Deputy Manager is eligible for a limited combination of telework one day per week and on‑site work assignments after 6 months of employment for employees who are in good standing. Telework one day per week must be completed from a pre‑designated home‑based location within the State of California, and the employee may be required to report on‑site to address business needs.
Telework is at the sole discretion of the Court and may be rescinded with 48 hours' notice, based on the needs of the Orange County Superior Court.

About the OpportunityThe Language Access Services unit ensures that non‑English speaking participants in court proceedings have equal access to justice. The unit coordinates interpreter and language assistance services in court proceedings and at public service points. The unit provides access in more than 50 languages through professional interpreters, both court employees and contractors. It helps ensure meaningful communication for limited‑English‑proficient individuals so they can understand their rights, speak with the judge, and follow legal processes.
The unit’s work is part of the court’s commitment to equal access to justice under California law.
The Court Interpreter Deputy Manager assists with the daily operations of the Language Access Unit to ensure staff supervision and scheduling are aligned with efficient unit operations. The incumbent manages interpreter coverage and reporting requirements while leading projects and supporting the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and standards applicable to Language Access Services. The Court Interpreter Deputy Manager prepares documents, recommends and develops procedures, and provides training to all levels of staff.
The incumbent also interacts with a variety of court staff, managers, and judicial officers.
The Court Interpreter Deputy Manager reports to the Court Interpreter Manager, provides leadership through supervisory positions and oversees professional and administrative support staff engaged in the operations of the court interpreter services.
Required EducationHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.
Required Experience- Two (2) years of full‑time (or equivalent) court management experience.
