Reporting to the Food Services Manager and working within the kitchen, cafeteria, dishroom and/or patient services, the Senior Food Service Associate performs a variety of food service tasks in the areas of meal assembly, service and delivery, catering, dishwashing, sanitation and safety, and assists in training new Food Service Workers.
Responsibilities- Perform food preparation and service tasks in kitchen, cafeteria, dishroom, and patient areas.
- Assemble, serve, and deliver meals, including catering events.
- Wash dishes and maintain sanitation standards.
- Adhere to kitchen sanitary control techniques.
- Assist in training new Food Service Workers.
- Work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Minimum 3 years of prior skilled food preparation/service experience.
- Knowledge and practice of kitchen sanitary control techniques.
- Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English.
- Maintain an appropriate work pace for the workload.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
