We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Contracts Compliance / Payroll Administrator to support both contractual compliance and payroll operations across our construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring all workforce payments, subcontractor engagements, and contractual documentation meet regulatory and company standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience in construction industry payroll, subcontractor management, and contract administration, with strong knowledge of labor compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities Contracts Compliance- Administer and maintain contract documentation for employees, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure all contracts align with company policies and relevant construction regulations
- Monitor compliance with employment legislation, tax requirements, and industry standards
- Verify subcontractor insurance certificates, licenses, and certifications
- Track and manage contract variations, extensions, and renewals
- Support project managers with contract interpretation and compliance queries
- Maintain accurate records for audits and regulatory inspections
- Assist with compliance reporting to governing authorities
- Process weekly/biweekly payroll for union employees and subcontractors
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, allowances, and deductions
- Manage timesheet collection and verification from project sites
- Maintain employee payroll records and update changes as required
- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with industry awards, union agreements, and employment legislation
- Prepare payroll reports for management and finance teams
- Coordinate with HR and Finance regarding new hires, terminations, and contract changes
- Previous experience in union payroll administration, preferably in the construction industry
- Experience with contract administration or compliance management
- Strong understanding of employment law and payroll regulations
- Familiarity with construction awards, union agreements, and subcontractor arrangements
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
