- Previous HR Generalist experience; manufacturing environment preferred.
The Human Resources Generalist supports a variety of HR functions, including employee relations, payroll, recruiting, leaves of absence, benefits administration, attendance management, and compliance. This position works closely with employees and management at all levels and provides ongoing support to the Human Resources Manager.
Key Responsibilities Recruiting- Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and position requirements.
- Maintain communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
- Utilize job boards, staffing agencies, referrals, and other recruiting sources.
- Maintain relationships with temporary staffing providers.
- Manage employee leaves including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA, personal, military, jury duty, and bereavement leave
. - Determine leave eligibility, issue required notices/forms, track certifications, and maintain compliance.
- Serve as a primary contact for employees and managers regarding leave policies and processes.
- Assist employees with medical, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA, and other benefit questions.
- Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly employees and serve as backup for salaried payroll.
- Review and audit timesheets for accuracy and policy compliance.
- Follow up on missing timecards and respond to payroll-related questions.
- Reconcile labor reports between Paycom and Flex
.
- Track employee attendance points according to company policy.
- Prepare corrective action documentation and coordinate with supervisors.
- Maintain employee data in Paycom, including hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Maintain employee training records and HR documentation.
- Prepare new hire, benefit, disability, leave, and separation documents.
- Conduct new hire and benefits orientations.
- Support employees across multiple shifts with HR-related questions and concerns.
- Assist with employee relations, company events, and special HR projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent education/experience considered.
- HR Generalist experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
. - Experience with an integrated HR/payroll system;
Paycom preferred
. - Knowledge of federal and California employment laws, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA, EEO, FLSA, and NLRA.
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality.
