Senior Business Financial Analyst

A rapidly growing company is seeking a Sr. Financial Systems Business Analyst to support the finance department by gathering requirements, improving processes, enhancing financial systems, and ensuring accurate, reliable workflows across accounting, reporting, and operations. You’ll partner closely with business stakeholders and technical teams on ERP upgrades to design solutions, document requirements, and guide projects through delivery.

Hybrid in Orange, CA

Direct hire, full-time (Client unable to support visa sponsor ships, NO C2C)

• Lead requirements gathering through interviews, workflow reviews, and process analysis; translate needs into actionable documentation.
• Develop clear, testable requirements, user stories, and functional specs using approved templates and tools.
• Conduct gap analyses and recommend process improvements across accounting and financial workflows.
• Collaborate with development, QA, vendors, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and support solution design.
• Participate in planning, backlog grooming, prioritization, and Agile ceremonies as needed.
• Support user acceptance testing and smoke testing; validate functionality against business needs.
• Create and deliver user training materials and support rollout activities.
• Manage requirement priorities, deadlines, and project reporting tasks.
• Represent business stakeholders, set expectations, and maintain communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Remove project blockers and facilitate cross‑team alignment.
• Contribute to RFP documentation and evaluate proposals.
• Perform additional business analysis or project support tasks as needed.

• 3+ years of experience with ERP implementations, upgrades, and maintenance. MS Dynamics is highly desired; other ERP software experience will suffice that includes modules such as AP, AR and GL.
• 3+ years of experience working with financial systems as a functional analyst.
• 3+ years of experience serving as a liaison between Finance and Technical Teams, being responsible for gathering and presenting requirements from each side, in addition to making requirement recommendations.
• Experience making accurate architectural suggestions pertaining to how ERP and legacy financial applications should be structured.
• Strong understanding of financial/accounting processes, including GL, AP, AR, purchasing, billing, and cash management.
• Ability to write clear, unambiguous, testable requirements and communicate technical topics to non‑technical partners.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint).
• Hands‑on use of requirements management / project tracking tools (Azure Dev Ops, TFS, JAMA, Rally, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; capable of evaluating information and defining solutions.
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to facilitate meetings, build consensus, and work with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities and deliverables.
• Customer‑focused, proactive, and adaptable in fast‑changing environments.
• Understanding of PHI/HIPAA guidelines as required.
