Senior Software Project Manager

Fieldpiece is looking for a Senior Software Project Manager who can manage fast-moving, high-impact software projects and help turn big ideas into real products customers love. You’ll lead connected software initiatives from concept to launch, keeping cross-functional teams aligned, removing roadblocks, and driving momentum in a rapidly growing environment.

You’ll work closely with engineering, product management, UX, QA, operations, and external partners to deliver innovative connected experiences - while helping build smarter, more scalable ways of working along the way.

Hybrid schedule in Orange, CA with an exciting move to a new office in Tustin, CA in mid-2028.What You’ll DoLead end-to-end software project delivery from initiation through deployment and support

Define, develop and maintain project scope and plans, goals, timelines, budgets, and deliverables with stakeholders

Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, product, QA, UX/UI, operations and external partners

Identify risks, blockers, dependencies, and mitigation strategies proactively

Drive stakeholder communication through regular updates, reporting, and presentations

Ensure projects meet quality standards, technical requirements, and business objectives

Track KPIs, milestones, team performance metrics, and delivery progress

Support software release planning, testing coordination, and post-launch evaluations

Improve project management and software development workflows continuously

Help align project priorities with broader company strategy

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field3+ years of experience managing software development projects – ideally projects that integrate software and hardware

Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and hybrid project management methodologies

Experience with tools like Jira, Asana, Trello, , or Microsoft Project Strong knowledge of SDLC processes and software delivery best practices

Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments

Experience working with cross-functional technical teams

Strong problem-solving, planning, and risk management capabilities

Familiarity with APIs, cloud platforms, Dev Ops, or CI/CD processes is a plusPMP, Scrum Master, Agile, or related certifications preferred
