A well-established and highly regarded Southern California law firm is seeking a Trusts & Estates Attorney to join its growing private client practice in Orange County / Los Angeles.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, and fiduciaries on sophisticated estate planning and trust administration matters in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience handling estate planning, trust administration, and related tax matters, with the ability to manage client relationships independently while working closely with partners on complex planning strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft comprehensive estate plans, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives
- Design advanced wealth transfer strategies for high-net-worth individuals
- Advise clients on gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning
- Administer trusts and estates, including preparation of probate filings and related court documents
- Provide counsel to trustees and beneficiaries regarding fiduciary duties and risk management
- Coordinate with financial advisors, accountants, and family offices
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California
- 3–8+ years of experience in trusts & estates
- Strong drafting, analytical, and client communication skills
- Experience with high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth clients preferred
- LL.M. in Taxation is a plus, but not required
