Fieldpiece Instruments is looking for a Facilities Manager to lead the spaces, systems, and projects that keep our teams working safely, efficiently, and comfortably across our growing U.S. footprint and global sites. In this high-impact role, you’ll balance big-picture project leadership with hands‑on operational ownership — from guiding construction and tenant‑improvement projects as our owner’s representative to managing vendors, service contracts, building systems, employee requests, and EH&S compliance.
You’ll partner closely with contractors, leaders, and teams across the business to create facilities that support our people and fuel our continued growth. This individual contributor role reports to the VP of Operations.
- Facilities Operations
- Keep Fieldpiece’s manufacturing, warehouse, R&D, and office facilities safe, functional, and production‑ready.
- Manage preventive maintenance, building systems, employee requests, assets, permits, and compliance records.
- Capital Projects & Buildouts
- Lead capital projects as Fieldpiece’s owner’s representative, including ground‑up construction, tenant improvements, and shell buildouts.
- Own scope, budgets, schedules, vendors, risks, change orders, status updates, permits, inspections, and closeout.
- Partner with internal teams and contractors to keep projects aligned, compliant, and on track.
- Vendor & Contractor Management
- Select, negotiate with, and manage facilities vendors and service partners across key building services and specialty trades.
- Oversee facilities budgets, approvals, invoices, quality, cost, and responsiveness.
- Safety & EH&S Compliance
- Lead EH&S programs, including Cal‑OSHA compliance, emergency planning, fire safety, hazmat handling, training, audits, corrective actions, and required filings.
- Global Facilities Support
- Serve as Fieldpiece’s facilities subject matter expert for global sites, creating scalable standards, playbooks, and project support.
- 5+ years of facilities management experience in a manufacturing, R&D, or light industrial environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing capital construction projects from scoping through closeout in an owner’s representative or client‑side capacity, spanning both ground‑up new construction and tenant‑improvement (TI) / shell buildouts.
- Working knowledge of Cal‑OSHA regulations and EH&S program management.
- Experience managing vendor contracts and service agreements.
- Proficiency with facilities management systems (CMMS or equivalent).
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to keep leadership, internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors aligned across concurrent projects and day‑to‑day operations.
- Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Experience supporting multi‑site or international operations.
- Familiarity with NFPA, ADA, and California Title 24 requirements.
- Background in electronics manufacturing or test & measurement environment.
- Matching 401k up to 4% with immediate vesting.
- Excellent medical benefits including an HSA plan and monthly contributions.
- Supplemental Term Life, Employee Assistance Programs (EAD), Disability, and more.
- Hire to Retire philosophy that includes personal career development plans.
- Onsite music program with lessons from guitar, piano and voice coaches.
- And more.
The California base annual salary range for this role is currently $137,000 to $167,000 plus bonus. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data.
