Overview

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This individual will be responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-precision components that meet strict quality standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong machining expertise, the ability to independently modify G-Code, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment for production runs.
  • Independently write, edit, and troubleshoot G-Code and M-Code programs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
  • Perform machine setups, tooling changes, fixture installations, and offsets.
  • Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
  • Utilize micrometers, calipers, gauges, microscopes, and other quality inspection tools.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cycle time reductions, and quality enhancements.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and basic repairs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production records and inspection documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds, speeds, and materials including metals and plastics.
  • Experience operating CNC mills and lathes.
  • Ability to independently perform minor G-Code modifications and program adjustments.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and optical inspection equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Familiarity with Solid Works and Fusion 360 is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout a 12-hour shift.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends based on production requirements.
