Orchid Orthopedic Solutions is seeking an Operations Technician to support precision manufacturing of orthopedic implants and instruments. In this role, you will set up and operate production equipment, monitor processes, perform in-process inspections, and complete required documentation to meet medical device quality and regulatory standards. You will troubleshoot basic equipment issues, follow detailed work instructions and GMP procedures, and collaborate with engineers, quality, and production teams to achieve safety, quality, and delivery goals.
This position offers hands-on experience with advanced machining, finishing, and cleanroom operations in a highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate production and finishing equipment for orthopedic components
- Monitor manufacturing processes to meet safety, quality, and throughput targets
- Perform in-process inspections and measurements using gauges and basic metrology tools
- Complete production, quality, and regulatory documentation accurately and on time
- Follow SOPs, work instructions, and GMP/ISO regulations for medical devices
- Identify and communicate equipment or process issues to engineering and maintenance
- Support basic troubleshooting, changeovers, and setups to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams on process improvements
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to 5

- Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills
- Production equipment operation
- Basic CNC or machining familiarity
- Blueprint and work instruction reading
- Use of calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
